Game Rules
Objective of the Game
The game is played on a board sized 11×11, 13×13, 15×15, or 17×17. In the center stands the King with his Defenders (white). The Attackers (black) stand at the edges of the board.
- The King wins when he reaches a corner square.
- The Attackers win when they surround the King from TWO sides (horizontally or vertically).
Setup
The King is in the center. Defenders form a diamond around the center:
- 11×11 → diamond out to distance 2 from the center
- 13×13 → out to 3, 15×15 → out to 4, 17×17 → out to 5
Attackers stand at the edges of the board in two rows, 3 squares from the corners.
Movement of Pieces
All pieces (including the King) move like a rook in chess — any distance horizontally or vertically.
- Pieces cannot jump over others.
- Diagonal movement is not allowed.
Capturing Pieces
A piece is captured when it is sandwiched between two of your pieces in the same row or column. This applies even to the King.
- It is enough to surround from TWO opposite sides (horizontally/vertically).
- Diagonal “sandwiching” does not count.
End of the Game
- ✔ The King reaches a corner → victory for the Defenders.
- ✔ The King is surrounded from two sides → victory for the Attackers.
- The last move is highlighted: from = dark red, to = dark green.
- The selected piece has its square highlighted in dark blue.
